Technician Apprentice - Petroleum Engineering
at ONGC
About This Apprenticeship
Work with ONGC petroleum engineers on reservoir analysis, production optimisation, well testing, and enhanced oil recovery techniques applied to India's domestic oil and gas fields. The role covers interpretation of well log data, pressure-volume-temperature (PVT) analysis, decline curve analysis, and the use of reservoir simulation software to predict production over time. Apprentices learn the practical engineering principles required to maximise hydrocarbon recovery from existing fields, reduce production costs, and extend field life. The skills developed are highly valued not just at ONGC but across the wider Indian and global oil and gas industry, including service companies like Schlumberger, Halliburton, Reliance Industries, and Oil India Limited.
